I hold a Bachelor of Computer Science from the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. I have more than 30 years of expertise in the following fields of information technology in both the public and private sectors:

• Integrating and leading work teams, empowering people, and treating others as I like to be treated, aware that we are all different and must work as a team , making synergies inside and outside the organization.
• As a collaborator, it is essential to provide solutions and prevent problems from escalating to a higher level. If you detect a problem you cannot solve in your field of action, consider how it could be corrected and bring those ideas to your superiors.
• Knowing and applying the organization’s mission and values to convey to the team that all efforts and contributions, however minimal they may seem, contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives. If the organization moves forward, adapts to change, and progresses, so do we.
• Make the team aware that, as a service area, our job is to provide solutions and solve problems and that it will often be necessary to collaborate by attending to and resolving requests even if “that does not concern us.”
• Encouraging team members not to wait for instructions to do what needs to be done. If you know what to do and how to do it, do it. I am convinced that working by objectives is the best way to make the most of time.
• There is a huge difference between “data” and “information,” and since information is a strategic asset, it must be timely and trustworthy enough to help stakeholders in making decisions. Additionally, because it is a valuable resource, it needs to be well kept and have disaster recovery plans in place.
• Knowing that the technical language of computing can be very different from the language of business, it becomes crucial to establish effective communication, clarify technical concepts to business staff, and double-check to ensure mutual understanding.
• Managing the information systems lifecycle, integrating in-house and outsourced human resources and infrastructure.
• Process Analysis and Design, seeking to simplify tasks, avoid redundancies and maximize the use of the available resources.
• Achieve active participation and commitment from the User, clearly establishing, in writing and signing, the scope of the projects and involving the User in all stages of the project, mainly in Analysis and Operation Tests.
• IT Procurement; creating Requests For Proposals, defining Service Level Agreements, and managing the authorization process before the authorities and supervisory areas, ensuring compliance with the applicable legislation and regulations.
• Custom Relationship Manager process, ensuring service level compliance and establishing effective communication between the business and the IT staff, seeking to maintain and, if possible, improve the quality of service.
• Adoption of new technologies through a process of research and development. Achieving effective communication with stakeholders to integrate them as project sponsors, not forgetting the change management, frequently becomes the critical success factor for new projects.
• Requirements Analysis, to have the team of analysts discover not only the User’s manifested requirements but also those frequently omitted or taken for granted, aspects that typically cause subsequent changes in the requirements definition, generating delays and additional costs.
• Data Modelling, assuring those data models are correctly structured, avoiding redundancies, and taking advantage of available data sources while ensuring the integrity and availability of information.
